  • Paul and Martine are awesome! I've been frustrated with the a/c leaking. Paul and Martine were knowledgeable and help me repair a long standing problem with the dash air. Today everything has been repaired and the A/C is working great!

  • I have known Paul (The Coolman) for almost 20 years now. I have never come across an automotive AC company that knows more about his craft. On top of that , always willing to go out of his way to get you going and to make sure you are happy with his service and repair. I run a collision repair shop and Owner Operators like Paul are very few and far between now days. It's more than just buying a few pieces of fancy equipment. The knowledge that Coolman offers is second to none. The fact he rides motorcycles doesn't hurt either!!!

  • Coolman is the man! I installed an aftermarket AC system in my 91 YJ wrangler. Coolman and his tech showed up a few hours after we talked and after leak test, vacuum pull and charge, my non-AC Jeep went from hot to 47 degrees!

    I got some tips on aftermarket condensers and other things I may consider but for now I'm super happy!

  • I have a 2005 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer where the air conditioning stopped blowing cold air. I called Coolman, he showed up the next day at my home, hooked up his instruments, and determined the cause of the problem. Within 30 minutes, he fixed the problem, and now my car is blowing cold air again.
    Professional, courteous, reasonable, thorough, and most importantly, he fixed the problem at a reasonable price. I can really recommend Coolman as a responsible, reliable, service provider.

He showed up when/where he specified, and even gave me a short-list of other recommended maintenance issues. He was so thorough and efficient, we had him complete work on both our cars by the time he finished the job. Our second car is a 1989 Cadillac Allante. Paul was honest and informative for both cars, both systems, both diagnoses. His prices are so reasonable, and his work so outstanding, I really don't see why anyone would take their car anywhere else. Paul will come to YOU. Based on your needs and your schedule.

  • Paul at Coolman does a great job! Fantastic! I called because the vehicle we were getting ready to sell (as luck would have it) started blowing out only cool air. He had a technician in the area and when he finished his other job, he came right over! He was knowledgeable and friendly. Their was no 'diagnostic' fee, and within less than a half hour the A/C was recharged and blowing out ice cold. The price was more than fair and even more importantly, I appreciate that they were totally honest that all the vehicle needed was freon. They could have easily gotten me for more costly repairs because i wanted the vehicle operating properly to sell it. Thanks Paul and Co!!

  • Paul from Coolman came out to my place of work to fix my A/C, which I felt was very convenient since I didn't have to take my car in. From the beginning, his communication on arrival times, where to meet, etc. was wonderful. He was prompt and friendly upon arrival.
    Unfortunately, it turned out that my A/C needed a little more than just a quick fix, so I had to take it back to the auto collision place before he could put the recharge in the system. This really stressed me out because I am getting married in less than a month and my time and money are limited resources! Not to mention, I have additional stress going on in general! I'm sure Paul could sense my stress! I had a lot of questions and he was very patient and helpful. He sympathized with my stress and did his very best to walk me through the process, cost expectancies, etc. He also obviously did great work once the auto collision place did their part.
    To anyone who is considering Paul for your auto A/C service, I am confident in saying that he is a genuine, hardworking and trustworthy man who clearly cares about his customers.   • What a great relief to have Paul at Coolman to turn to when the AC on our Hyundai Santa Fe started blowing warm air. After a couple off the shelf cans of recharge didnt last, it certainly had to be a leak in the system.
    Tired of having spent the time and money for nothing,and with the blistering temps lately, I found Coolman online. I figured a mobile repair service was efficient, I just hoped Coolman could fix it.
    Paul came out to our car, I explained what I had done thus far, with only temporary success. Paul opened up his mobile vehicle and he had a rolling AC Service shop in his van. Let me emphasize that Paul is NOT some handyman who thinks he can fix it, Paul is an AC Professional with the experience, proper equipment, and knowledge to fix automotive AC Systems.
    Paul gave the Hyundai a small charge using his Professional tools, and then busted out another Tech device to identify where the leak was coming from. He FOUND IT! Turns out compressor had a pretty significant leak, once he identified where to look, he pointed it out for me to see as well.
    Long story short, after replacement of the compressor, he again hooked up his system and vacuumed the humidity out of the system and then recharging it with the refrigerant. While the system was being charged I got a chance to chat with Paul, and I realized that this guy was awesome, knows what he's doing, he comes to you, explains whats going on, and does it for a fair price that is loads less than a dealership would charge.
    I was a little hesitant when I was first called Coolman but like others reviews, once you talk to him, and meet him in person, all those reservations go away.
    Paul is a trustworthy guy, and knows what hes doing. I hope you read this review and call him, because I can only write so much to persuade you and reassure you.....I know, I was in the same position you are right now. Coolman fixed it, end of review.

  • It's pretty sweet to have a service that comes to you to repair your AC. I loved not having to leave my car at a shop for a whole day. I just drove it to work and they came to my office to get everything done. I did my own AC Compressor install and they even gave me some pointers on what to look out for an some parts I should install that I hadn't thought about! They came back the next day to charge up my coolant and I was off.... nice a cool now! Thanks guys!

  • This guy is AWESOME. No dropping your car off and waiting all day; The Coolman comes to you. He does exactly as promised: calls with a 20 minute lead telling you when he'll be there and then shows up on time. Paul is a straight shooter. He holds eye contact, speaks well, identifies the problem and shows you what needs to be done and how much it will cost. Half hour later he is done and your AC is as good as new. I highly recommend this guy. No BS, on time, honest, fast, and fair priced.

  • Paul at Coolman was sooo courteous and helpful - I was beside myself, trying to decide whether to fix my Bimmer AC. A local mechanic had quoted a very costly replacement, with some rational or other as to why the system simply could not be repaired and required a new unit. Then I found Coolman - he came out and performed a diagnostic on the spot and quoted a REPAIR! It turns out most car mechanics are not qualified to repair car ACs, so of course they push replacements. Coolman's repair quote was a fraction of the replacement quote the mechanic was pushing me into. Thanks Coolman!

  • Excellent is the only word suits this company. I had a 2009 Honda Civic just little over 36k miles on it. It was non operational for more than 14 months. When I came back to USA I found that AC is not working. Also compressor was not not moving when checked by opening hood. I went to dealer who asked for about 230. Then I went to another shop who asked for 170 dollars. I started looking on line and information of Coolman came up. I called and talked to Paul. He sent guy to my home within two hours only. They found that one of the cable was chewed by Rat so it was broken. Guy just connected two wires and my AC started perfectly. They charged me only 75 dollars that was also for diagnosed only. Then guy helped me to fill freon gas without any charge.
    Why go to any mechanic if work can be done at your door step and that is also without playing with u for money. Its need of time to reward this kind of honest people to teach lesson to mechanic who charges so crazy.

    Paul was so gracious and helpful and immediately came to my office and diagnosed the situation - some parts (he had with him in his service van) and a quick charge of freon - and he even fixed my temperature control that had been buggy - all in less than 90-min.

He comes straight to you, he's friendly, zero pressure and super affordable. I got quotes from 4 other so called Air Conditioning Specialists and they all were hundreds over his quote. He showed me the new parts going in, the old parts coming out and in just a few hours my aircondition was blowing ice cold. I can't say enough about this guy. Honest, fair and super cool, he has restored my faith that there are still honest hardworking people in the auto industry that just want to make an honest buck. The best part is you never even have to leave the comfort of your living room! Thanks Coolman, I will recommend you to anyone with air conditioning needs from here on out, your the best!!!

My regular (now former) mechanic charged me over $100 for a "fix" which wasted half my day and lasted five minutes -- and he wanted me to bring it back in for more! I found Coolman in the yellow pages and he came to my HOUSE! He (Paul Clausner) diagnosed the problem with his equipment right on the street, said the relay was out, switched in another relay and the AC has run perfectly ever since. The charge? Less than half what my now former mechanic charged to not fix it. This is the guy the auto dealers call for help, folks! You call him!

  • Paul did a great job for me. The A/C of my car gave out and the diagnoses of a repair shop was a leak which required a special order part. Luckily I gave Paul a call and as he came out to my house, he quickly discovered there was no leak at all: just a blown fuse. A/C worked perfectly again with the new fuse and it saved me on an expensive repair.
